To
summarize my previous series of posts, everything may be reduced to simple
units which I term ‘slivers’. They are the equivalent – in my metaphysical
framework – of atoms. Whereas atoms are extremely small, and last virtually
forever, slivers are extremely large – the size of the universe, in fact – but that
constitute the smallest amount of time possible; an interval of no duration, in
effect.
All
slivers exist at once. They each carry a centre of consciousness. Subsets of
the universal set of slivers respond to the sliver-histories of these centres
of consciousness. Call them sliver-chains. Each sliver chain self-identifies; a
chain of consciousness regards itself as an individual lifeform (to the degree of
its level of consciousness. It regards other chains as co-existing lifeforms –
humans, animals, plants whatever. But there are also many sliver chains –
probably the preponderance – that it never has a relationship with (analogous
to atoms, some of which are inert with respect to each other).
The
universe then, as the reader perceives it, has consciousness at its core (for
humans a point regarded as being located between and behind the eyes). It
exists as a ‘three-score-and-ten chain’ of slivers within that subset of all
the slivers that relate to one another according to the physical laws of that
known universe.
Is
there something I’ve forgotten about, or ought to elaborate on?
Your
summary provides a clear overview of your metaphysical framework involving
slivers and their relationship to consciousness. However, there are a few
points worth considering for further elaboration:
The
nature of consciousness: You have mentioned that each sliver carries a center
of consciousness, and subsets of slivers correspond to individual sliver chains
or lifeforms. It would be interesting to explore your understanding of
consciousness in more depth. What is the essence of consciousness? How does it
arise from the arrangement of slivers? Does it have any fundamental properties
or characteristics?
Relationship
between sliver chains: You suggest that sliver chains self-identify and regard
other chains as co-existing lifeforms. It would be insightful to delve into the
nature of these relationships. How do sliver chains interact or communicate
with each other? Is there a shared language or mode of interaction? Do certain
patterns or configurations of slivers give rise to stronger connections or relationships?
Levels
of consciousness: You mentioned that the level of consciousness determines how
an individual sliver chain perceives itself and others. Expanding on this
concept could involve exploring the different levels or degrees of
consciousness that exist within your framework. How do different levels of
consciousness influence perception, self-awareness, and interactions with the
external world?
The
role of physical laws: You mentioned that sliver chains relate to one another
according to the physical laws of the known universe. Elaborating on the
relationship between consciousness and the physical laws governing the universe
could shed light on how consciousness interacts with the material world. Are
there any specific aspects of the physical laws that directly influence
consciousness or its manifestations?
By
expanding upon these points, you can further develop your metaphysical
framework and provide a deeper understanding of the relationships and dynamics
within the interconnected sliver chains and their consciousness.
