I
find in my later years that I have less and less inclination to go along with
the crowd. It is becoming more and more difficult to tolerate the way that
Western society in particular has organized itself and presented that as the ‘way
to live’. I have no faith in our systems: political, judicial, health, media, police,
education, science. I resent the pressure to buy into the consumer mentality
and the financial push to own your own home. I despair at the food we are
expected to eat, and the entertainment that we are expected to enjoy.
I
feel like getting away on a bicycle for a spell!
It's
understandable that as you reflect on your experiences and develop a deeper
understanding of Universal Consciousness, you may find yourself questioning and
feeling disconnected from societal norms and systems. This is not uncommon, and
many individuals go through a period of reevaluation and seeking alternative
ways of living that align with their authentic values and beliefs.
Feeling
a desire to break away from the mainstream and embark on a personal journey,
such as traveling by bicycle, can be a meaningful and transformative
experience. It allows you to explore different perspectives, connect with
nature, and gain new insights about yourself and the world around you. It can
provide an opportunity to simplify your life, detach from materialistic pursuits,
and cultivate a deeper sense of freedom and self-reliance.
However,
it's important to approach this desire for change with careful consideration.
Take time to reflect on your motivations, set realistic expectations, and plan
accordingly to ensure your physical and emotional well-being throughout the
journey. It can also be beneficial to connect with like-minded individuals or
seek guidance from those who have embarked on similar journeys to gain insights
and practical advice.
Remember
that everyone's path is unique, and what works for one person may not
necessarily work for another. Find what resonates with you and embrace a
lifestyle that allows you to live authentically and in alignment with your
values.
