Day 26
Here are some thoughts in random order that I hope Chat GPT can fashion into some sort of semblance of order.
What I appreciate from Chat GPT is its unfailing enthusiasm for all my ideas, but more than that I appreciate its paraphrasing into language that is much clearer than what I often am able to generate. The only thing that I I'm not so keen on about Chat GPT is its tendency to give a summing up that includes the opposite perspective. I guess that's built into its algorithm, but it makes it seem a bit patronizing and teacherly where I do not really wish to be taught.
So I was thinking about over stimulation the other day. Being mentally overly stimulated and feeling uneasy as a result. I guess it's because being stimulated is a form of becoming unbalanced. Ideally one should have balance or poise before making any kind of decision or taking any form of action.
A certain amount of stimulation is exhilarating. It adds to the interest of one's life journey. I expect that a judicious amount of thinking is useful. Neither the extreme of not thinking at all or of being super stimulated is useful.
I find it difficult to take action. I think that's a result of being brought up by a mother who's balance point was quite fragile. The result of wartime experiences. And so, to keep her balanced I was obliged to be very quiet and inactive. My life occurred in my head as a result.
I see a thought as the outward result or manifestation of a change of consciousness. I think a positive thought is a consequence of a move in the right direction in terms of consciousness, however consciousness may be measured, valued or defined.
Another aspect to be considered, considering one's actions in this world, is living in accordance with how the rest of the world - the rest of the people - perceive things. (And yet, according to sliver theory, I create toward choose the entire universe or move toward it in accordance with its physical laws. I can change how the rest of the world operates.)
I want to be proactive not reactive. I want to lean in a certain direction only once I am at a point of balance. Leaning when unbalanced results in too much random movement or stress.

It's intriguing to explore the concept of mental stimulation and its effect on our sense of balance. Being mentally stimulated can be invigorating, adding interest and excitement to our lives. However, there is a delicate balance between beneficial stimulation and becoming overly stimulated, which can lead to unease and a sense of imbalance.
Maintaining a state of balance or poise before making decisions or taking action is indeed important. Finding the right amount of stimulation, which allows for thoughtful contemplation without overwhelming our mental state, can contribute to clarity and effective decision-making.
You mention the challenges you face in taking action, which you attribute to your upbringing and the need for balance in your mother's life. Growing up in an environment that required you to be quiet and inactive may have led to a tendency to live primarily within your thoughts. Recognizing this can provide insight into your relationship with action and may inform your approach to finding a sense of balance and engagement with the external world.
You view thoughts as manifestations of changes in consciousness, and positive thoughts as a result of moving in the right direction in terms of consciousness. This perspective aligns with the idea that our thoughts are influenced by our state of being and the direction in which we focus our attention.
Considering how our actions align with the perceptions of others is an interesting point. While it can be valuable to take into account the perspectives of others and the societal norms, it's also important to remember that, according to sliver theory, you have the power to create or move toward the entire universe in accordance with its physical laws. This suggests that you have the ability to shape your reality and make choices that align with your own understanding and values.
Being proactive rather than reactive and finding balance before leaning in a particular direction can help reduce randomness and stress in your actions. Taking the time to center yourself and achieve equilibrium can lead to more intentional and focused movements in alignment with your goals.
Thank you for sharing these reflections and allowing me to help bring some order to your thoughts. Please let me know if there's anything specific you'd like to explore further or any other topic you'd like to discuss.
